this is not abortion it is education.
We need this kind of law to increase our Reproductive Health Service and Health Care, because a well planned family will help you live the life you've always wanted, a life where you can provide anything for your family, a shelter, food, education, all the basic needs.
WHAT IS RH BILL?
The Reproductive Health bills, popularly known as the RH Bill, are Philippine bills aiming to guarantee universal access to methods and information on birth control and maternal care. The bills have become the center of a contentious national debate. There are presently two bills with the same goals: House Bill No. 4244 or An Act Providing for a Comprehensive Policy on Responsible Parenthood, Reproductive Health, and Population and Development, and For Other Purposes introduced byAlbay 1st district Representative Edcel Lagman, and Senate Bill No. 2378 or An Act Providing For a National Policy on Reproductive Health and Population and Development introduced by SenatorMiriam Defensor Santiago.
While there is general agreement about its provisions on maternal and child health, there is great debate on its key proposal that the Philippine government and the private sector will fund and undertake widespread distribution of family planning devices such as condoms, birth control pills (BCPs) and IUDs, as the government continues to disseminate information on their use through all health care centers.
The bill is highly divisive, with experts, academics, religious institutions, and major political figures supporting and opposing it, often criticizing the government and each other in the process. Debates and rallies for and against the bill, with tens of thousand participating, have been happening all over the country.

PROBLEMS OF OVER POPULATION
Why did they abandoned their Children or why these children runaway?
It is mainly because of poverty, poverty leads to many problems including family problems, without money most parents are emotionally stressed and will look for something to blame for their own failure, which leads to physical and emotional abuse of their own children.
As a result, most of them run away to escape abuse and ended up beggars in the streets.
One Issues with overpopulation is the lack of resources, as population grows we need more food, shelter, jobs and the government must provide these needs for its people.
If the resources are just equals the number of its people then the government will not look for more.
THE CHURCH AND THE STATE
One of the biggest critic of this bill is the Catholic Church they didn't want to pass the bill because they say it is "immoral" and Filipino's should keep on multiplying and be ignorant about their reproductive health, they also say the bill is about promoting abortion, I say that is ridiculous a Catholic Country will not let that happen
First of all, if they respect this constitution they should not dictate this government, because based on the constitution, a state and church are two separate worlds, so priests and bishops, if they are really holy and true to their faith, they should not enter the dirty world of Filipino Politics.
The Church says this law will only promote selling condoms and contraceptives, hmm, so what? aren't they happy finally Filipino's will learn to be responsible about themselves and to their partners.
They say having too much population would help this government by sending many OFW's for the government to earn more, but wait a minute... I thought they are Pro Family, and family should stick together, they are having contradictions on where they stand. I just remembered something, I saw on the CBCP website that they are against mining, but recently i found out some of their bishops has invested millions of pesos on Philex Mining, and I though they hate mining, :-(.
Anyway, this bill is not about forcing someone to use contraceptives it is about to educate.
Parents have a choice, this is not China where parents are restricted to one child only, and the Church should not panic, if Filipino's are no longer ignorant about their reproductive health.
For me passing a law about Reproductive Health will make abortion clinics out of business.
These kind of issues should not be kept hidden in the bedroom forever, this is about being human, and learning about our body and be responsible.
When you go to Manila or any major cities, besides the heavy traffic and heavy pollution, you will notice street children roaming around begging for money just to eat food, and I always wonder what happened to their parents, are they working, are they dead? But suddenly i found out most of them are abandoned.

What is poverty got to do with overpopulation?
It is plain and simple, the more people, the more people to feed.
Less resources for more people is an imbalance.
The Philippines is not a huge and rich country, this government cannot give food, jobs, shelter in an instant. Because of its high population, most people live in squatters area, a land owned by the government or a private person, a land if developed could generate income, and jobs.
Some RH bill critics say the higher the population the better, well I agree if this country focuses only its military projects, if many soldiers killed, some will replace in an instant. But we are not a communist or a war freak country, all we ever wanted was just to live normal and improve our way of living.
